Privacy Policy
Molru is operated from the Republic of Korea and follows applicable Korean privacy law. Molru currently provides a free, account-free Korean-learning service and limits data processing to what is necessary to deliver the website.

2. Personal information collected directly by Molru
Molru currently does not directly collect or maintain personal information from visitors. The service has no account registration, sign-in, comments, payments, newsletter, or contact form. Molru does not sell personal information or provide visitor information to third parties for advertising or marketing. Google Analytics is used only after the visitor makes the optional choice described in Section 5.
3. Reading history stored only in your browser
After you stay on an article for at least three seconds, Molru stores the article slug and read time in your browser’s localStorage undermolru:reading-history:v1. This record is used only to mark an article as read. It is not sent to or collected by a Molru server, Cloudflare, Google, or another device. Molru does not receive it remotely or use it for analytics, profiling, advertising, or marketing.
You can remove it at any time by clearing Molru’s site data in your browser. It otherwise remains in that browser until you delete it.

Cloudflare acts as a service provider for customer logs processed to provide its services. Details may change according to the Cloudflare product and plan in use. See theCloudflare Privacy PolicyandData Processing Addendum.
5. Cookies, analytics, advertising, and text-to-speech
If you select “Allow analytics,” Molru loads Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC in the United States. Google Analytics may process page URLs and titles, referral information, session and interaction events, device and browser information, approximate location, IP-derived technical information, and analytics identifiers or cookies. Molru uses the resulting aggregated reports to understand site usage and improve the service. Molru does not operate a separate analytics server or combine this information with an account profile.
Google Analytics does not load before you allow it. Molru disables Google signals and advertising-personalization signals in its Google tag configuration, and does not use Analytics for advertising. Your choice is saved in this browser’s localStorage undermolru:analytics-consent:v1. You can change it at any time through “Privacy choices” in the footer. Selecting “Decline” stops further Analytics events from this page; clearing site data also removes your saved choice.
Analytics information may be processed through Google’s global infrastructure. Molru’s operating setting is to retain event-level Analytics data for no longer than two months, subject to shorter deletion where appropriate and Google’s own service requirements. Molru does not currently load Cloudflare Web Analytics, an advertising network, or an ad placement.
Molru may use your browser’s Web Speech API to read Korean text aloud. Molru does not request or collect voice input. Text-to-speech processing depends on your browser, operating system, and selected voice provider.
6. Retention, deletion, and security
Because Molru directly maintains no visitor account or inquiry data, there is currently no Molru-held visitor database to retain or delete. Browser reading history and Analytics consent are deleted by the visitor as described above. Google Analytics data follows Section 5, and Cloudflare-handled data follows Section 4. Molru limits enabled services and access to operational systems and uses HTTPS and provider security controls appropriate to the static service.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may contact the privacy contact in Section 1 to ask about access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or other rights available under applicable law. Because Molru currently holds no user account data, a request may result in confirmation that Molru has no directly stored record that identifies you. We may request only the minimum information needed to verify and respond to a request.
8. Changes to this policy
Molru will update this policy before enabling accounts, contact forms, real advertising, payments, additional analytics services, or another feature that changes how personal information is processed. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
